Egypt has tightened rules for the entry of tourists

Tourists arriving at Egyptian resorts through Cairo will have to pay attention to the new restrictions that have introduced in the country of the Pyramids. We are talking about a coronavirus test. The negative result of the test will have to be provided to entry in the country. The test must be submitted no later than 72 hours before the trip.

According to the Egyptian Cabinet of Ministers the PCR test will “expire” within three days of arrival. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbuli said, this decision applies to both local residents and tourists if they arrive by sea, land or air.

However, there is an exception as well. For the direct flights to resorts that include Sharm El Sheikh, Taba, Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Marsa Matruh. Tourists arriving directly at resort airports will not need the test. In addition, to attract tourists, visas in South Sinai province, Sharm el Sheikh, Marsa Matruh and Hurghada will be free.

As a reminder, Aeroflot opened sales on direct flights Moscow-Cairo on July 31. Ticket prices started at 11,000 rubles one way. Prada, after a complaint from public figures to the FAS, the carrier withdrew this and some other flights from sale. They are now awaiting an official go-ahead. Nevertheless, it is already possible to get to the resorts of Egypt, albeit with a transfer – for example, through Istanbul or through Minsk.
